Will Jacks Hits Fifth Fastest Hundred in IPL History During GT vs RCB Match

Will Jacks has joined an elite club with a century against GT.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s star batter, Will Jacks stole the show on Sunday with a blistering knock against the Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Jacks etched his name into the IPL record books by smashing the fifth-fastest century in the history of the cash-rich tournament, reaching the three-figure mark in just 41 balls.

The English batter decorated his knock with five boundaries and a staggering 10 sixes. With RCB needing just one run for victory and 25 balls to spare, Jacks launched a six off the bowling of Rashid Khan to bring up his maiden IPL hundred and seal a thumping nine-wicket win for his team.

Jacks plundered a staggering 29 runs off Rashid Khan’s 16th over, including four sixes and a four in just five deliveries. This onslaught contributed to RCB achieving the fastest successful chase of a 200+ run target in IPL history, completing in exactly 16 overs.

At the other end, Virat Kohli provided valuable support with an unbeaten 70 off 44 balls. The duo stitched together a match-winning 166-run partnership for the second wicket off just 74 deliveries.
