Rilee Rossouw lauded Virat Kohli for his incredible consistency.
South African batter Rilee Rossouw acknowledges the pressure on modern batters to consistently deliver high scores. In an interview with Sportstar, he stated that Virat Kohli is an exception in that regard.
“You can’t score big in every match unless you are Virat Kohli,” Rossouw said.
However, he emphasized the value of contributing in every match, even if it’s not a big score:
“But you would want to make an impact as much as you can in every single match. Doesn’t matter if you’re just facing five balls and scoring ten runs. As long as that strike-rate’s nice and high and you’re making an impact on the game,” he added.
Rossouw has had a decent IPL 2024 so far, with crucial contributions like his 26 runs in a record chase and a quickfire 61 against RCB. Overall he has scored 162 runs in 7 matches at a strike rate of 176.
