‘Go and Win the IPL Trophy’ – MS Dhoni’s Message to Virat Kohli After RCB Knocks CSK Out of Playoffs

After the Royal Challengers Bengaluru knocked the Chennai Super Kings out of the IPL 2024 playoffs at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Virat Kohli immediately approached MS Dhoni, who had gone to the dressing room without shaking hands with the RCB teammates, to have a conversation.

One Twitter user reported that MS Dhoni, in his conversation with Virat Kohli, urged him to win the IPL title this time, now that RCB had eliminated CSK from the playoffs. Here’s what MS Dhoni told Virat Kohli:

“You need to do the Final and need to win it as well. Good luck for it”.

Notably, RCB fans were left heartbroken after their team’s disastrous start to IPL 2024, losing seven out of their first eight matches. However, Virat Kohli and his men scripted a dramatic turnaround, winning a staggering six consecutive games, including a crucial win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their final league encounter.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will now face Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator on Thursday, May 22nd at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
