List of Pakistan Players Picked in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2024 Auction
A total of nine Pakistan players will feature in LPL 2024.
The upcoming Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2024 is gearing up for another blockbuster season as a total of nine star players from Pakistan have been picked up by various franchises during the player auction held earlier today. The tournament kicks off on July 1st in Pallekele, Sri Lanka.
Two Pakistan players – wicketkeeper-batters Mohammad Haris (B-Love Kandy) and all-rounder Shadab Khan (Colombo Strikers), were pre-signed by their respective teams. However, the auction brought even more excitement with seven additional Pakistan players finding new teams.
Colombo Strikers secured the services of young fast bowler Mohammad Wasim Jr. for a steal at $20,000. Meanwhile, the Dambulla Thunders went big on experienced batters Iftikhar Ahmed ($50,000) and rising star Haider Ali ($25,000).
B-Love Kandy wasn’t shy about bolstering their squad with Pakistan talent either. They secured the explosive Azam Khan and the fiery Mohammad Hasnain for $50,000 and $30,000 respectively. The Kandy franchise continued their shopping spree by picking up all-rounder Agha Salman and pacer Mohammad Ali, each for $10,000.
