AB de Villiers Slams Indian Fan for Mocking Babar Azam’s Poor English Speaking Skills

The former South African batter and legend AB de Villiers lashed out at an Indian fan in the YouTube comments section who mocked Babar Azam for his English.
Recently, the Pakistan captain, Babar Azam, appeared as a guest on AB de Villiers’ YouTube channel, where the South African legend discussed various topics.
In one of the comments, an Indian fan remarked that AB de Villiers could barely contain his laughter due to Babar Azam’s poor English.
In response, the ex-South African batter stated that Babar Azam’s English is far better than AB de Villiers’ Urdu, and emphasized that Babar Azam’s batting prowess is what truly matters.
The exchange went as follows:
Fan comment: “ABD hardly control his laughing babar azam speaking in English”
AB de Villiers’ reply: “His English is infinitely better than my Urdu. And his batting is excellent, which is what matters more, I believe.”
Babar Azam was recently reappointed as the white-ball captain of the Pakistan cricket team. He stepped down from the role after the ODI World Cup 2023, where Pakistan failed to make it to the semifinals.
He will lead the Pakistan cricket team in the T20 World Cup 2024, which is set to be co-hosted by West Indies and the USA. The highly anticipated India versus Pakistan match will take place on June 9th in New York.
