Pakistan captain Babar Azam comforted young player Azam Khan following his disappointing performance in the 4th T20I against England on Thursday, May 30.
Azam Khan faced harsh criticism online after failing with the bat and dropping several catches during Pakistan’s innings.
After Azam Khan was out for a 5-ball duck, his selection for Pakistan’s T20 World Cup squad came under question. However, Babar Azam defended his player, consoling him with an arm around his shoulder while walking off the field.
In a video on ‘X’, Babar Azam was seen consoling a visibly upset Azam Khan after Pakistan’s loss in the 4th T20I. The captain made sure to lift the young player’s spirits with his words of encouragement and support.
Pakistan lost the 4-match T20I series 0-2 against England as two of the matches in Leeds and Cardiff were washed out.
