Team India kicked off their T20 World Cup 2024 campaign against Ireland on Wednesday in New York. Captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first, but the playing XI announcement left many fans fuming on social media.

Yuzvendra Chahal, Sanju Samson, and Kuldeep Yadav – all big names in Indian cricket – were surprisingly absent from the starting lineup.

This decision sparked outrage amongst fans, particularly considering Samson’s impressive form for the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024 and his inclusion in the warm-up match against Bangladesh.
