After a recent heated exchange with a fan on the streets of London, Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf issued a clarification on social media.
Haris Rauf stated in a social media post that professional cricketers are open to receiving feedback from fans, but emphasized that this should not cross the line into abusing or attacking their families.

“I decided not to bring this on social media, But now that the video is out, I feel it is necessary to address the situation. As public figures, we are open to receiving all kinds of feedback from the public.”
“They are entitled to support or criticize us. Nevertheless, when it comes to my parent and my family, I will not hesitate to respond accordingly. It is important to show respect towards people and their families, irrespective of their professions.”
Notably, Haris Rauf was walking on the streets with his wife when this incident occurred. It is speculated that the fan requested a photo, which Haris declined, prompting the fan to start abusing the Pakistani bowler.
