Getting Mayank Run-Out Was a Disaster: KL Rahul

Kings XI Punjab skipper KL Rahul feels that losing wickets in the powerplay is the main reason behind their consecutive losses. He also said that getting Mayank run-out in the powerplay was a disaster. Mayank Agarwal was run-out by David Warner in the second over after scoring 9 runs off 6 deliveries.

“I think when we lose wickets in the powerplay, it’s always going to be tough and getting Mayank run-out was a disaster,” said Rahul in the post-match conference.

“We kept losing wickets after that and it was one of those days where everything (aerial shots) went into the hands of fielders. The last five games we’ve been struggling in the death overs, but we pulled things back, else 230 was on the cards.”

Pooran is So Good To Watch: KL Rahul

KL Rahul hailed Pooran for his phenomenal innings. He made a stormy start against Sunrisers Hyderabad, scoring a half-century on just 17 balls. He scored the fastest half-century of the season, hitting 6 sixes in the innings.

“Pooran is so good to watch, he’s hitting proper cricketing shots. If we get a decent job at the start, he can do the job for us later. He’s (Ravi Bishnoi) always enjoyed those situations, that’s great to see for a youngster,” he added.
