Indian captain Rohit Sharma was reportedly upset with Yashasvi Jaiswal after the young batter caused a delay in the team’s departure for the airport on Wednesday morning. The team, set to leave Adelaide for Brisbane, had to wait for Jaiswal, who did not show up on time.

After waiting for about 20 minutes, Rohit Sharma stepped out of the bus to check with the support staff about Jaiswal’s whereabouts. Despite efforts by the team manager and security officers, Jaiswal did not arrive on time. The team eventually decided to leave without him.

Jaiswal reportedly reached the hotel lobby only after the bus had left. A separate vehicle, accompanied by a senior security officer, was arranged to take him to the airport.

Jaiswal, who is known for being punctual, is expected to face a penalty for this delay. However, the reason for his tardiness is still unknown.

India Prepares for Third Test

India will face Australia in the third Test of the five-match series starting Saturday in Brisbane. The series is currently tied at 1-1 after Australia’s commanding 10-wicket win in Adelaide.

Jaiswal, who impressed with a century in the first Test, struggled in Adelaide, getting out cheaply in both innings. With India aiming to qualify for the ICC World Test Championship final, the team will need strong performances from senior players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who have faced criticism for their inconsistency.
