BPL 2024-25 Match 19: Chittagong Kings vs Sylhet Strikers – Match Highlights and Scorecard
Chittagong Kings beat Sylhet Strikers by 30 runs in the 19th match of the BPL 2024-25.

Chittagong Kings delivered a stupendous performance to defeat Sylhet Strikers by 30 runs in the 19th match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024-25 at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
After winning the toss, Chittagong Kings opted to bat first and posted an imposing total of 203/6 in their 20 overs. Opener Usman Khan laid the foundation with a fluent 53 off 35 balls, laced with eight boundaries and a six.
Although they lost Parvez Hossain Emon early, Graham Clark played an explosive knock in the middle overs, hammering 60 runs off just 33 deliveries, including three fours and five sixes. Haider Ali added the finishing touches with an unbeaten 42 off 18 balls, striking at 233.33, to take Chittagong past the 200-run mark.
Sylhet Strikers’ bowlers struggled throughout the innings, with Tanzim Hasan Sakib (2/38) and Nahidul Islam (1/30) being the only wicket-takers who managed to keep some control. The rest of the bowling unit failed to contain the batters, allowing the Kings to score at over ten runs per over.
Chasing a steep target of 204, Sylhet Strikers faltered early in their innings. Paul Stirling fell for a duck in the very first over, and Zakir Hasan’s brief cameo of 25 off 19 balls wasn’t enough to build momentum. George Munsey tried to anchor the chase with a well-crafted 52 off 37 deliveries, but the lack of support from the other batters put Sylhet in a tough spot.
The middle and lower order showed some fight, with Jaker Ali smashing an unbeaten 47 off 23 balls. However, the required run rate kept climbing, and the Strikers eventually finished at 173/8 in their allotted 20 overs, falling 30 runs short of the target.
Mohammad Wasim Jr. was the pick of the bowlers for Chittagong, taking 3/25 in his four overs. He was well-supported by Aliss Al Islam, who claimed 2/36, and Khaled Ahmed, who took 1/30.
