SRH vs RCB: Two Records Broken As RCB Beat SRH By 6 Runs In The 6th Match Of IPL 2021

SRH vs RCB: Royal Challengers Bangalore beat the Sunrisers Hyderabad by six runs in the 6th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) on Wednesday.

Put into bat, RCB posted 149/8 in 20 overs with Glenn Maxwell scoring 59 from 41 balls. In reply, David Warner hit a fifty but SRH lost their way from there on (143/9).

RCB managed 47/1 in the first six overs after Devdutt Padikkal was dismissed early. However, RCB kept losing wickets at regular intervals as they couldn’t get the desired move on as expected. Glenn Maxwell starred for the RCB as he hit a fifty. Overall, RCB posted 143 for 9 in scheduled 20 overs.

From 115 for 2 in the 16th over, Sunrisers Hyderabad lost as many as 7 wickets for just 28 runs. At the end of 20 overs, SunRisers Hyderabad fell short of RCB’s 148-run target by 6 runs. Left-arm spinner Shahbaz Ahmed shined for RCB as he picked up 3 wickets in the 17th over.

Sunrisers Hyderabad were marching towards a smooth victory as David Warner and Manish Pandey stitched an 83-run stand for the 2nd wicket after the early wicket of Wriddhiman Saha. Both Warner and Pandey were hitting them cleanly and it looked like the 2016 champions would set a blueprint for chasing in Chennai after KKR’s horror collapse on Tuesday.

Warner got to his 49th IPL fifty but fell right afterwards to New Zealand pacer Kyle Jamieson in the 14th over. However, Jonny Bairstow and Manish Pandey added 19 runs to keep the scoreboard moving. It was still SRH’s game to lose and they exactly did that by losing the plot in a space of 6 balls.
