On the second ball of the over, Pandya bowled a delivery outside off with no significant movement. Babar, thinking he had a chance for another cover drive, pushed at it, only to edge the ball. Wicketkeeper KL Rahul dived low to his right and took a sharp catch.

Babar Azam was dismissed for 23 runs off 26 balls, which included five fours.
