New Zealand all-rounder Michael Bracewell put on his best performance in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, delivering a match-winning spell against Bangladesh. His 4/26 rattled the opposition, and broke the backbone of Bangla Tigers. Bracewell dismissed Tanzid Hasan, Towhid Hridoy, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Mahmudullah.

Despite his impressive performances in international cricket, Bracewell went unsold in the IPL 2025 mega auction. The Kiwi spinner had set his base price at ₹1.5 crore, but none of the franchises placed a bid for him.

Can Bracewell Still Feature in IPL 2025?

While he didn’t find a buyer in the auction, Bracewell’s IPL dream isn’t necessarily over. Injuries are a common occurrence in the tournament, and franchises often bring in replacement players. Given his recent form, he remains a strong contender if a team needs an all-rounder during the season.
