WPL 2025 Match 12: Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women vs Gujarat Giants Women – Match Highlights and Scorecard

Gujarat Giants Women defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women by 6 wickets in the 12th match of the WPL 2025.

Gujarat Giants Women finally broke their losing streak at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, defeating Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women by six wickets in the 12th match of WPL 2025.

This marked RCB’s third consecutive defeat at home in the ongoing tournament. With this loss, Smriti Mandhana-led RCB now has two wins from five matches, while Gujarat registered their first victory at this venue.

Batting first, RCBW struggled to build momentum and managed only 125/7 in 20 overs. Kanika Ahuja top-scored with 33 off 28, while Raghvi Bist contributed 22.

Gujarat’s bowlers kept things tight, with Tanuja Kanwar (2/16) and Deandra Dottin (2/31) leading the attack. Kashvee Gautam (1/17) and Ashleigh Gardner (1/22) also chipped in, restricting RCB batters from accelerating.

Chasing 126, Gujarat Giants lost wickets at regular intervals but were steadied by captain Ashleigh Gardner’s blistering 58 off 31 balls.

Phoebe Litchfield (30* off 21) provided crucial support, guiding the team home in 16.3 overs. RCB’s Renuka Singh (2/24) and Georgia Wareham (2/26) were the only wicket-takers, but they couldn’t prevent Gujarat from chasing the target comfortably.

With this win, Gujarat Giants have gained much-needed momentum, while RCB will need to reassess their strategies after another home defeat. RCB’s inconsistent batting remains a concern, and they will be eager to bounce back in their upcoming matches.
