Match 29 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 will be played between two former IPL champions i.e. Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
If MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings, have to keep their hopes alive in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, they will have to make a strong comeback from the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Three-time champions and last-time runners-up Chennai have lost five out of the seven matches they played so far. They are currently sitting on the seventh position of the points table.
Shane Watson and Faf Du Plessis performed well in the top order, but the middle order will now have to play better. After the relentless performance of Kedar Jadhav, Chennai had bowled him out in the last match and replaced him with Narayan Jagadeesan, who scored 33 off 28 balls and combined with Ambati Rayudu (42 off 40 balls) to set up the innings. But after these two were out, Chennai’s batting was shattered. Sam Curran, Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo also failed to bat and Dhoni has also not been able to score as fast as expected. The captain also later admitted that the batsmen would have to perform better if they were to win the match further. Deepak Chahar and Jadeja have been impressive in bowling so far. Curran, Shardul Thakur and Karn Sharma need to perform well.
The Orange Army’s position is also not that impressive, having won three out of seven matches and placed fifth in the table. The five-wicket defeat against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday would have hurt the team as they kept good control of the match at one time after scoring 158 for four. Batting is not a concern for Sunrisers as Jonny Bairstow, captain David Warner, Manish Pandey and Kane Williamson are consistently scoring well and are ready to take responsibility. Sunrisers’ bowling attack has weakened after losing pace bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar and all-rounder, Mitchell Marsh. Although leg-spinner Rashid Khan and yorker specialist T Natarajan have bowled well for SRH.

Pitch Report
Chasing has been quite challenging in Dubai. In 12 matches here thus far, only twice the chasing teams got over the line while two games finished in a tie. The pitch has got something on offer for everyone. Batsmen should spend some time out in the middle before playing the big shots.
