Bookies Targeting IPL 2025! BCCI’s Big Warning to CSK, SRH, RCB, KKR and Others
BCCI has warned all IPL 2025 teams to stay alert as a suspicious man linked to bookies is trying to approach players and staff with gifts.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has issued a serious warning to all IPL 2025 teams and members, asking them to stay alert and cautious. This includes players, coaches, support staff, owners, and even commentators. The warning comes after a report from the Anti-Corruption Security Unit (ACSU), which says that a businessman from Hyderabad is trying to trap people involved in the league.
According to ACSU, this person has a history of being involved in betting and other corrupt activities. He is said to be connected to bookies and punters and has earlier faced similar accusations. The ACSU has found that he is trying to get close to IPL participants by pretending to be a fan.
Man Pretending to Be Fan, Offers Costly Gifts
This businessman has been spotted near team hotels and inside stadiums. He reportedly tries to befriend players and staff by offering them costly gifts like jewellery. He also invites them to private parties to make a connection. In some cases, he has approached family members of team owners, players, and commentators, offering to take them shopping or to luxury hotels.
The BCCI has told all teams to immediately report if anyone from the league is approached by this individual or if there is any connection with him. The board is taking this issue seriously and wants everyone involved in IPL to remain alert and follow the anti-corruption rules.
Technology Making Things Harder, Says ACSU
The ACSU also said that with modern technology and social media, it has become more difficult to track these kinds of threats. They have asked everyone in the IPL to co-operate and not hide any information.
The BCCI has clearly said that it will take strong steps to keep the game clean and protect the image of Indian cricket. They are working hard to make sure no one is able to fix matches or take part in any illegal activities.
