IPL 2025: BCCI Breaks Silence on Rajasthan Royals Match-Fixing Allegations
BCCI has dismissed RCA’s match-fixing allegations against Rajasthan Royals, calling them false and baseless.

Rajasthan Royals have strongly responded to match-fixing allegations made by Jaydeep Bihani, convener of the RCA ad-hoc committee.
The franchise sent a letter to the BCCI, calling the claims “defamatory” and “baseless,” stating they damage the reputation of the Royals, the BCCI, and the sport itself.
The controversy began after RR lost a close game to LSG. Bihani, an MLA from Sri Ganganagar, claimed the match was fixed.
However, the BCCI quickly dismissed the accusations.
A BCCI official told TOI, “The BCCI has an anti-corruption unit working 24×7 to keep the bad elements away from the game. There is no truth to these allegations of match fixing by RCA.”
Insiders suggest the issue may have stemmed from a ticket dispute. Previously, RCA received 1800 tickets per match.
This season, the number was cut to around 1000–1200. RR claimed that BCCI guidelines direct them to coordinate with the Rajasthan State Sports Council, not the now-dissolved RCA.
The franchise believes the allegations are politically motivated ahead of the RCA elections, and the BCCI stands firmly with them.
