Ex-Delhi Capitals Star Player To Turn Out For Trinbago Knight Riders In CPL 2021

Ahead of the CPL 2021 player draft, Trinbago Knight Riders have roped in Nepal leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane for the 2021 edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
The Caribbean Premier League is all set to enter its 9th edition of the game in Saint Kitts and Nevis for the 2021 season. Lamichhane had played for Jamaica Tallawahs in the CPL 2020 and was part of Delhi Capitals in IPL 2019 edition.
However, Sandeep went unsold in the IPL 2021 auction and now fans would be delighted to hear that the leg-spin bowler from Nepal is going to be a part of the Knight Riders family for the upcoming CPL 2021 season.
Sandeep Lamichhane Excited To Join TKR
Sandeep Lamichhane took to Twitter on Tuesday to announce his selection in the Trinbago Knight Riders team for the upcoming CPL 2021 season. Lamichhane expressed his excitement to be a part of the Knight Riders family, which is a franchise of the KKR team playing in the IPL.
The 20-year-old said that he is looking forward to playing with the 4-time champion team and also expressed his gratitude towards the Jamaica Tallawahs team which he represented in the previous season of the Caribbean Premier League.
“Absolutely thrilled to be the part of #KnightRiders family and look forward to playing for the champions team TKRiders. This is going to be an awesome ride. I am grateful to JAM Tallawahs for the opportunity last year,” Lamichhane wrote on his Twitter handle.
Earlier, the Trinbago Knight Riders have released the list of their retained players ahead of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2021) which gets underway in St Kitts & Nevis on August 28. The Knight Riders have held on to 13 of the players who saw them complete a perfect season in 2020, winning all 12 of their matches to claim a record fourth CPL title.

The Trinbago Knight Riders won the CPL 2020 held amidst the COVID-19 pandemic in the Caribbean without losing a single match in the tournament under the captaincy of Kieron Pollard. They faced the St. Lucia Zouks in the final of the CPL 2020 and thrashed them by 8 wickets to lift the trophy.
