CPL 2021: Complete List Of Overseas Players Signed By All Six Teams

The Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2021) will begin on August 28 here at the Warner Park and all the 33 matches will be played at this venue keeping in mind the Covid-19 pandemic under strict bio-bubble.
Last year, the Trinbago Knight Riders captured the championship by winning all league matches as well as knockout games. The focus now shifts to the 2021 CPL and teams have already started their preparations after announcing their retentions, releases, trades and some fresh buys.
In a recent development, CPL released the players’ draft along with the complete squad for all the six teams participating in the tournament. So, fasten your seat belts as it’s gonna be a exciting journey as we take you through the squads of the six participating teams in the championship. But before that let us tell you the names of the overseas players participating in the tournament.
In the overseas players, Shakib Al Hasan returns to Jamaica Tallawahs, while Faf du Plessis will turn out for St. Lucia Zouks and Sandeep Lamichhane will play for Trinbago Knight Riders in the CPL 2021. Apart from them some of the other overseas players featuring in this year’s CPL are- Chris Morris, Matthew Wade, Shoaib Malik, Haider Ali, Azam Khan, Usman Qadir, and Samit Patel.
Also featuring in the CPL 2021 will be former India U19 player Smit Patel, who will play for the Barbados Tridents roster as an MLC (Major League Cricket) player. He was recently seen playing for Baroda, featuring in this year’s Syed Mushtaq Trophy. Being an MLC player means that he is a contracted player in the upcoming American cricket league.
