Royal Challengers Bangalore recently signed Sri Lankan players Wanindu Hasaranga and Dusmantha Chameera for the remaining phase of the Indian Premier League 2021. Both the players have been roped in by the franchise as a replacement for Daniel Sams and Adam Zampa

Hasaranga and Chameera have been picked by RCB on the back of their astounding performance against team India in the T20I series which was held in July.

Sri Lanka Cricket has also provided a ‘No Objection Certificate’ to the duo and allowed them to participate in the IPL 2021. Both the players are expected to join the RCB camp by September 15.

However, in the latest turn of events, it has been announced that both the players will not be available for the playoffs of the IPL 2021, in case RCB qualifies.

As per the reports of Cricwire, both Sri Lanka players are expected to join the national team on 10th October 2021 to play warm-up games ahead of ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers, commencing from October 17. Sri Lanka is scheduled to play a Qualifier against Namibia on October 18 to advance their journey in the mega event.
