Bangladesh Announces Squad For T20 World Cup
Bangladesh will go into the tournament high on confidence after historic series wins over Australia and New Zealand.
Bangladesh Cricket Board, on Thursday announced the 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup, scheduled to be hosted jointly by Oman and United Arab Emirates, starting next month.
Mahmudullah will lead the team that just witnessed victories over Australia and New Zealand on home soil.
Soumya Sarkar’s poor run against Australia didn’t have an impact as he managed to retain his spot in the absence of Tamim Iqbal, who pulled his name out of the mega event. The left-hander had scored only 28 runs in five innings against Australia and hasn’t featured against New Zealand in the first four games.
Shakib Al Hasan, Liton Das, Taskin Ahmed, Mahedi Hasan are some other big name that have been included in the squad.
