Former Indian opener and now commentator, Aakash Chopra is back once again with his solid observations. He came forward with his best six batsmen of the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL 2020).

Former Indian opener and now commentator, Aakash Chopra is back once again with his solid observations. Earlier, he chose the best XI of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League and now he came forward with his best six batsmen of the cash-rich league. Once again, the big names like Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya and even Mayank Agarwal failed to make it to his list.

Starting from the sixth, he picked Royal Challengers Bangalore’ veteran AB de Villiers. He believes that Mr 360 has been one constant man behind the success of RCB this year. Chopra was first considering Kohli and Mayank for this spot but later he preferred going with de Villiers.

“At No.6, I was considering Mayank Agarwal and Virat Kohli, but I am going with AB de Villiers. Some people have also questioned what sort of genius he is when he cannot win the tournament. But that is not his job. He has won the most ‘Man of the Matches’ for RCB since 2018, most Man of the Matches this year, and won the most matches single-handedly,” he said in his YouTube video.

For 5th slot, he selected Mumbai Indians veteran batsman Suryakumar Yadav, who has been lauded by many cricket experts throughout the season for his phenomenal season.

Going for 4th spot, he chose Mumbai Indians’ young batsman Ishan Kishan, who did immensely good in the tournament. Chopra looked impressed with his big shots.

For 3rd spot, he picked SunRisers Hyderabad’s skipper David Warner, who scored more than 500 runs in six consecutive seasons.

Shikhar Dhawan’s two straight centuries in the tournament has impressed all the cricketing fraternity and fans around the world, and he grabbed the second spot the commentators’ list. Dhawan is also second the second-highest run-scorer of the tournament.

The first spot was given to one and only, KL Rahul, the captain of Kings XI Punjab, who is also the Orange Cap winner of the season. He scored 670 runs in 14 games with an average of 55.83 and strike rate of 129.34.

“At No.1, I have picked KL Rahul. His team did not go ahead, but if you go so far ahead in the league stage, then it means you have done something special. The 69-ball 132* against RCB was one of the finest innings we have seen in the tournament,” Chopra Concluded.
