LPL 2020: Dale Steyn All Set To Play For Kandy Tuskers In The Tournament
Kandy Tuskers signed South Africa legend Dale Steyn for the upcoming inaugural edition of Lanka Premier League (LPL 2020), starting from November 26.

Kandy Tuskers, after so many setbacks, finally managed to catch a big fish. They have roped in South Africa legend Dale Steyn for the upcoming inaugural edition of Lanka Premier League (LPL 2020), starting from November 26. The official Twitter handle of the tournament has shared a piece of news on the social media platform on Sunday.
Dale Steyn was also a part of Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore in just-concluded Indian Premier League but he hadn’t given many chances there. He had only played two games for the franchise, where he failed to take even a single wicket and conceded 57 and 43 runs respectively. Kandy Tuskers will have high expectation from this star.
Kandy Tuskers is owned by Bollywood star Salman Khan’s younger brother Sohail Khan. The franchise has already seen several setbacks ahead of the tournament. Many big names like Chris Gayle, Liam Plunkett have pulled out of the league due to various reason. In such a situation, the addition of Dale Steyn will give stability to the franchise.
The Lanka Premier League, starting from November 26, was initially scheduled to start from August but due to the coronavirus pandemic, Sri Lanka Cricket had to postpone the league.
Dale Steyn, who had a disappointing IPL season this year would be hoping to make a good comeback in the upcoming Lanka Premier League. He is expected to reach Sri Lanka on November 27.
The 37-year-old Steyn, who was once considered as the most ‘dangerous’ bowler of the world has played a total of 223 T20s so far and has picked up 257 wickets. In international cricket, he has picked up an impressive 699 wickets across the three formats.
