IND vs AUS: ICC fined Team India For Slow Over Rate in Third and Final T20I
ICC fined Indian cricket team 20 percent of their match fee for slow over-rate in the third and final T20I against Australia in Sydney.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) found Team India guilty of slow over-rate in the last T20. After which all players of the match have been fined 20% of the match fees. The ICC announced on Wednesday that match referee David Boon of the Elite Panel found that the team was unable to complete 20 overs by the scheduled time. Because of which they have been fined.

“In accordance with Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to minimum over-rate offences, players are fined 20 per cent of their match fees for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time,” the ICC said in a statement on Wednesday.
According to the news agency, Team India captain Virat Kohli has accepted the penalty imposed on his mistake. In this case, there will be no further hearing in this case.
“Captain, Virat Kohli pleaded guilty to the offence and accepted the proposed sanction, so there was no need for a formal hearing.”
On-field umpires Rod Tucker, Gerard Abood, TV umpire Paul Wilson and fourth umpire Sam Nogajski levelled the charge.
India had lost the third T20I by 12 runs on Tuesday but won the three-match series 2-1.
Hardik Pandya adjudged Player of the Match for his brilliant performance throughout the series.
Team India was fined in the first ODI
ICC was fined team India in the first match of the three-match ODI series due to slow overs. Australia defeated Team India by 66 runs in this match.
