BBL 2022-23: Glenn Maxwell Ruled Out, Melbourne Stars Name Replacement
Glenn Maxwell ruled out of the entire BBL 2022-23 season.

Melbourne Stars, on Sunday (December 11) named Tom Rogers as replacement for Glenn Maxwell for the upcoming season of the Big Bash League, starting December 13.
Australia’s ace all-rounder Glenn Maxwell will be out of action for an indefinite period of time after he broke his leg in a crazy accident at his friend’s birthday party in Melbourne earlier in November.
Rogers has earlier represented Sydney Thunder before moving to Melbourne Stars in the last season. He will once again represent the Stars in the upcoming edition of the Big Bash League.
Expressing delight on being getting another opportunity to play for Melbourne Stars, Rogers said:
“I’m thrilled to get another opportunity at this level, and it’s great to be a part of the Stars again this season.”
General Manager Blair Crouch also expressed his delight to see Rogers back in the team, stating:
“It’s great to have Tom back at the Stars, and we’re looking forward to seeing what he can do if he gets an opportunity. We’re looking forward to a great start to the tournament in Canberra and then a huge night at the MCG on December 16.”
Melbourne Stars earlier named Adam Zampa as the captain of Melbourne Stars for the 12th edition of the Big Bash League.
