The mini-auction for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 has been exciting as all 10 teams have finalised their squads. It was indeed an action-packed event as many players went big under the hammer and bagged massive deals.
At the same time, there were several notable names, who failed to fetch any bid and went unsold in the auction. Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) stepped into the auction with a purse amount of INR 7.06 Crore.
They acquired the services of Lockie Ferguson (from Gujarat Titans), Rahmanullah Gurabaz (from Gujarat Titans), and Shardul Thakur (from Delhi Capitals) during the retention period earlier in November.
Having retained and revamped their squad, the two-time champions made some budget purchases during the mini-auction and filled the voids ahead of the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League.
