David Warner injured himself while celebrating his double ton against South Africa.
Australian opener David Warner on Tuesday scripted history as he became just the second player in history to score a double century in his 100th Test match.
Warner achieved the magnificent feat during the ongoing second Test against South Africa at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Tuesday, December 27.
Former England captain Joe Root is the only other player to pull off the rare and magnificent feat. He scored a double century against India last year at Chepauk, Chennai.
But, soon after reaching the milestone, the opening batter had to retire hurt, having sustained an injury while celebrating the double century. Later, he was carried out of the ground with the help of the support staff.

Cameron Green Injured
Meanwhile, David Warner was not the only Australian player to leave the field after suffering an injury. The million-dollar all-rounder Cameron Green also left the ground and retired hurt after he injured his right index finger.
Green was hit by a ball from Anrich Nortje in the 85th over. Australia already suffered a huge blow as their star pacer Mitchell Starc injured his finger on the opening day of the ongoing Test and left the field in pain.
