IND vs SL: Virat Kohli Breaks Sachin Tendulkar’s Long-Standing Record With 46th ODI Century

Virat Kohli hit his hundred from just 85 balls in the 3rd ODI

India’s batting star notched up his 46th century in the ODIs in the third and final match of the ongoing three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka on January 15, 2023, at Thiruvananthapuram.

Kohli reached the milestone in just 85 balls and by virtue of this knock, the Delhi batter has broken a long-standing record of Sachin Tendulkar of scoring most centuries in ODIs at home.

Tendulkar had scored 20 ODI centuries at home while Kohli now has 21 tons in the 50-overs format in India. Kohli took just 101 innings to score his 21st ODI ton at home while Sachin took 164 innings. South Africa’s Hashim Amla stands third in the tally with a total of 14 ODI centuries at home.
