PSL 2023: Multan Sultans’ Shahnawaz Dahani Ruled Out of Tournament With Fractured Finger, Replacement Announced
Shahnawaz Dahani was ruled out of PSL 2023 due to a fracture in his index finger.

Multan Sultans have been dealt a significant setback ahead of their second match in the ongoing Pakistan Super League 2023 as their fast bowler Shahnawaz Dahani has been forced to withdraw from the entire tournament due to a fractured right little finger.
A spokesperson for the franchise has confirmed that Shahnawaz Dahani sustained a finger injury during the match against Lahore Qalandars and will be replaced by rookie pacer Muhammad Ilyas in the Multan Sultans squad for the rest of the competition.
Who will Replace Shahnawaz Dahani?
Muhammad Ilyas, a 24-year-old fast bowler who has previously represented the franchise, has been drafted into the Multan Sultans squad for the remainder of the tournament to replace the injured Shahnawaz Dahani. With an impressive record of 58 wickets in 51 T20 matches, Ilyas will be looking to fill the big shoes of the young sensation.
Dahani was a part of the Multan Sultans team that played the opening match of the tournament against Lahore Qalandars. He registered a figure of 1/40, but his team fell short and lost the match by just one run.
Multan Sultans are all set to take on Sarfaraz Ahmed-led Quetta Gladiators in their second match of the PSL 2023 season at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Wednesday, February 15.
