The Hundred 2023: Rashid Khan Ruled Out of The Tournament Due to ‘Undisclosed’ Injury

Rashid Khan of Trent Rockets has pulled out The Hundred 2023 due to an injury.

Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan has pulled out of playing in The Hundred on the eve of the tournament due to an injury.

He was set to represent Trent Rockets in the first three games of the tournament before leaving for international duty.

Pakistan’s Imad Wasim will replace him in the Trent Rockets’ squad, as announced last week, before New Zealand’s Ish Sodhi comes in. On missing out on The Hundred, here’s what the number 1 ranked T20I bowler said:

“I’m really disappointed to have to withdraw from The Hundred through injury. It’s been great to play in the competition for the first two years.”

“Trent Rockets is a great team, and I hope to be back again next year.”

Trent Rockets will kickstart their title defense against Southern Brave on Tuesday, August 1.
