Pakistan captain, Babar Azam, had a missed opportunity during the World Cup 2023 match against Australia on Friday, October 20, at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. He dropped a catch from Steve Smith, who was yet to get off the mark, while facing Usama Mir’s delivery.

It all happened on the fifth delivery of the 35th over when Usama Mir bowled a tempting leg-break outside off, enticing Smith to step forward and attempt a drive. However, he managed only an outside edge that went directly into the second slip’s hands, where Babar Azam was stationed, but the catch slipped through his fingers.
