ODI World Cup 2023: Hasan Ali Joins Elite Club with 100 ODI Wickets, Ranks Sixth Fastest among Pakistan Pacers
Hasan Ali dismissed Devon Conway to unlock this achievement.
Hasan Ali, on Friday (Nov 4), completed 100 ODI wickets and with this, he became the fifth-fastest Pakistan fast bowler to achieve this feat.
The Pakistan speedster achieved this milestone during his side’s World Cup 2023 clash against New Zealand at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.
Hasan reached the 100-wicket mark in his 66th match. Shaheen Afridi (51), Saqlain Mushtaq (53), Waqar Younis (59), Shoaib Akhtar (60) and Naved-ul-Hasan (65) are the fastest Pakistan pacers to pick 100 ODI wickets.
Hasan Ali got rid of New Zealand opener Devon Conway in the 11th over to complete his 100th ODI wicket. A well-placed short ball induced Conway into a pull shot, which ended up as an easy catch for wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan.
Usama Mir made way for Hasan Ali in the match against the Black Caps. Earlier, Hasan Ali has picked up eight wickets from five matches, with a remarkable four-wicket haul against Sri Lanka in Hyderabad.
