[Watch] Australia’s High Commissioner Visits Pakistan Players in Rawalpindi Before Australia Tour

Pakistan will play three Tests in Australia, starting December 14

Neil Hawkins, the Australian High Commissioner, met with the Pakistan cricket Test squad and officials on Sunday, November 26, conveying his positive regards for their forthcoming visit to Australia.

During a visit to Rawalpindi cricket stadium, the Australian High Commissioner met with Pakistan Test team members, including captain Shan Masood, Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Muhammad Rizwan.

Team Director Muhammad Hafeez further provided insights into the preparations for the upcoming three-match Test series against Australia. The Australian High Commissioner also played cricket with Pakistan players.

Here’s what Neil Hawkis stated upon meeting the Pakistan players:

“I encourage all Pakistan to show their support for the Shaheens. We are looking forward to an exciting contest and a glorious Australian sum­mer of cricket.”

The tour commences on December 14, 2023, at Perth Stadium, marking Pakistan’s debut Test appearance at the venue. The two teams will face off in the Boxing Day Test at the icon­ic Melbourne Cricket Ground from December 26 to 30 and the third and final match will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground from January 3, 2024.
