PSL 2024: Former CSK Player Appointed As Head Coach of Quetta Gladiators

Quetta Gladiators undergo a major coaching revamp ahead of the 2024 PSL season, with Shane Watson taking over as head coach, succeeding Moin Khan, who transitions to the role of team director.

Former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson wraps up his role as assistant coach with Delhi Capitals following the conclusion of the 2023 IPL season, as the team finished in the ninth position, leading to his release.

Here’s what Nadeem Omar, the owner of Quetta Gladiators said in a statement shared on team’s social media:

β€œShane has been an integral part of the Quetta Gladiators success in the initial seasons of the country’s premier league before he took retirement and there has been no better choice than him to coach the side and bring back the glory days which we have been renowned for. I wish him all the best for his new role and believe in his capabilities to take Quetta Gladiators to new heights.”

Earlier, Gladiators have traded in Abrar Ahmed and Mohammad Wasim Jnr from Islamabad United in exchange for pacer Naseem Shah.
