Gautam Gambhir Avoids Question on His Fight With S Sreesanth

Gautam Gambhir and S Sreensath engaged in a heated exchange during the LLC game.

Former Indian cricketers Gautam Gambhir and S Sreesanth exchanged heated words during the eliminator match of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) between India Capitals, and Gujarat Giants.

Following the match, the former pacer shared a series of videos alleging that Gautam Gambhir had continuously provoked him by calling him a ‘fixer.’

Notably, Sreesanth had received a lifetime ban in 2013 for his involvement in a spot-fixing scandal during the Indian Premier League, a ban later reduced to seven years by the Supreme Court in 2019.

When questioned about the on-field incident, Gautam Gambhir declined to comment. Here’s what the cricketer-turned-politician told India Today during a charity event:

“I don’t want to say anything. I am here for a good cause and don’t wish to talk about that.”

While Gautam Gambhir remains tight-lipped about the clash with S Sreesanth, he left a cryptic post on social media after the face-off, uploading smiling pictures accompanied by the caption, “Smile when the world is all about attention!”
