AUS vs PAK: Imam-ul-Haq Dropped from Test Team Over Slow Batting; Youngster Set to Replace Him for 3rd Test – Report

Pakistan's team management dropped Imam-ul-Haq for 3rd Test against Australia given the criticism of slow batting.

Ahead of the final Test against Australia in Sydney, Pakistan may consider tweaking their playing 11 following the second Test loss to Pat Cummins-led Australia at Melbourne Cricket Ground.

According to PTI, there are indications that Pakistan’s team management is contemplating giving Saim Ayub an opportunity, given the criticism of Imam-ul-Haq‘s slow batting of late.

“The Pakistan team are expected to field the 21-year-old uncapped opener Saim Ayub in the third and final Test against Australia.” The uncapped batter has played only 14 first-class matches representing Karachi but has a fantastic record averaging 46.47 while scoring three fifties and three centuries so far,” PTI report suggested.

“The report also suggested that the Pakistan team management would take a chance on Saim Ayub after Imam-ul-Haq’s “slow batting has come under criticism in the Pakistan cricket circles.”
