Why Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma Not Attend Ram Mandir Inauguration in Ayodhya? Details Here

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli missed the sacred event of Pran Prathihtha in Ayodhya

The inauguration of the Ayodhya Ram Temple took place with Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing the Pran Prathihtha in the presence of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday, January 22.

Many renowned personalities, including Bollywood icons Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Superstar Rajinikanth, marked their presence at the grand Ayodhya event.

Sportspersons like Saina Nehwal, Mithali Raj, Ravindra Jadeja, the batting legend, Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble, and others also marked their attendance at the sacred ceremony in Ayodhya.

Meanwhile, India’s modern day greats such as captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were also invited to attend the grand event in Ayodhya. However, the duo missed the event and the possible reason could be to do preparations for the upcoming England series.

Rohit was spotted practising in Mumbai, while the rest of the squad, including Kohli, is reported to be training at the Hyderabad stadium, as per Cricbuzz. Former India captain MS Dhoni was invited for the ceremony, but even he skipped the ceremony.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli has withdrawn from the first two Test matches against England for personal reasons. He will be back from the third Test, set to be played in Rajkot. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will soon announce the replacement for Kohli.
