MS Dhoni’s Close Friend Files Defamation Case Against Him
Mihir Diwakar shared a strong bond with MS Dhoni, often seen by his side at public events.

Mihir Diwakar, a close associate of MS Dhoni, is under scrutiny as Dhoni has lodged a fraud complaint against Diwakar’s company, Arka Sports. Dhoni stated that Diwakar misused his name for unauthorised business ventures, alleging a fraud amounting to INR 15 crore, involving Saumya Das of Arka Sports Pvt Ltd.
In response, Diwakar has now filed a defamation suit against Dhoni, refuting the accusations put forth by the former Indian captain.
The Ranchi civil court has officially taken MS Dhoni’s complaint against Diwakar and Das into account. A criminal case is set to be initiated against them regarding their involvement with Arka Sports. Seemant Lohani, representing Dhoni, lodged the complaint, leading Judicial Magistrate Raj Kumar Pandey to charge both defendants with fraud.
Mihir Diwakar Misusing Dhoni’s Brand Logos
Diwakar and Dhoni shared a tight-knit friendship, often spotted together at public events. Notably, Diwakar played a huge role alongside Dhoni in establishing the MS Dhoni Cricket Academy, which currently operates in India, Dubai, and Singapore. However, tensions arose between them due to allegations of Diwakar misusing Dhoni’s brand logos to secure unauthorised deals.
The complaint, filed back in October, finally reached a hearing on January 5, with MS Dhoni’s trusted associate Lohani present. Lohani provided compelling evidence of the purported fraud to support Dhoni’s claims, alongside his own sworn statement. The court is set to issue summonses to all three parties implicated in the case.
