Every time Virat Kohli walks onto the pitch, it’s like a record-breaking show. He did it again during the IPL 2024 opener between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), hitting the milestone of 1000 runs against CSK in IPL history.
Kohli Makes IPL History: First Indian to Score 1000 Runs Against Two Teams
Kohli becomes the first player to do so. Following his 1000-run milestone against Delhi Capitals earlier in the season, Kohli replicated his success against CSK. He sealed this achievement with a magnificent six over mid-wicket during the 10th over of the match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
Kohli’s got company in the form of Delhi Capitals’ David Warner, who’s achieved a similar feat in the Indian Premier League. Warner joins the exclusive club of players who have scored 1000 runs against two different teams, namely Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings.
