A die-hard fan had the chance to meet his idol, Hardik Pandya, captain of Mumbai Indians, as the team arrived in Hyderabad for their IPL 2024 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday, March 26.
Durgesh Tiwari, a big fan of Hardik Pandya, took to his X handle (formerly Twitter) to share a video of his meeting with the Mumbai Indians captain. In the video, Tiwari also showed his tattoo and paid his respects by touching Pandya’s feet.
MI Fans Target Hardik Pandya
Following Mumbai Indians’ loss to Gujarat Titans in their opening match in Ahmedabad, Pandya bore the brunt of severe criticism. Over the past few months, the 30-year-old has been targeted by MI fans for taking over the captaincy from Rohit Sharma.
Hardik Pandya steered Gujarat Titans as captain for two seasons, guiding them to their maiden IPL victory in 2022. Ahead of the IPL 2024 Auction, Pandya reunited with his former franchise through an all-cash trade deal worth INR 15 crore facilitated by Gujarat Titans.
