IPL 2024: Virat Kohli Surpasses MS Dhoni to Claim Most Sixes Record in IPL History

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) ace Virat Kohli maintains his scorching streak, notching yet another half-century in the ongoing IPL 2024 clash against Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday.

Kohli, opening the innings for RCB, hammered 83 runs from 59 balls with the help of four boundaries and as many sixes. With these four sixes, Kohli now has 241 sixes in his 232 IPL innings, cruising past MS Dhoni on the list of players slamming the most IPL sixes.

Adding to his milestones, Kohli also clinched the title of the highest six-hitter for RCB after launching his third six of the match at M. Chinnaswamy. Surpassing AB de Villiers‘ mark of 238 sixes and shattering Chris Gayle‘s record of 239 sixes for RCB.

The stylish right-handed batter now claims the title for the highest number of sixes by a player for a single IPL franchise, along with setting the record for the most IPL runs achieved at any venue.
