IPL 2024 – Match 15, RCB vs LSG: Faf du Plessis to Drop Rajat Patidar? Royal Challengers Bengaluru Probable Playing 11 vs Lucknow Super Giants
Rajat Patidar's recent struggle, stretching across three consecutive games, is becoming a growing worry for RCB
The 15th match of the IPL 2024 will have Royal Challengers Bengaluru hosting the Lucknow Super Giants at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on Tuesday, 2 April 2024.
Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis are again set to open for them, Kohli has been in runs in the last two games even though he failed to accelerate in the last game on a rare sluggish pitch at Chinnaswamy stadium, but Kohli amongst runs is always a green sign for his side.
Rajat Patidar’s Three-Game Slump Raises Concerns for RCB
Faf du Plessis and Rajat Patidar are going through a lean patch which has now continued to three games which should be a sign of worry for them, if Patidar fails to regain his form then Bengaluru will drop him for Suyash Prabhudesai won’t be a surprise which will also help them in structuring there XI better by nailing the entry points of Cameron Green and Glenn Maxwell.
Anuj Rawat and Dinesh Karthik (who is in his final season) have done a tremendous job in giving the final flourish to Bengaluru’s innings by the cameos they have played which helped them to post an above-par score every time they bat.
Bengaluru’s bowling is expected to undergo a total overhaul, in their last game, all three of their pacers went for plenty of runs and lacked Control. Alzarri Joseph will certainly make room for either Reece Topley or Lockie Ferguson whereas Yash Dayal may have to vacate his place for Vijaykumar Vyshak who bowled with tremendous accuracy and control against the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Mayank Dagar has been hot and cold with his bowling, which goes the same for Karn Sharma too. But Bengaluru doesn’t have anyone to replace them, courtesy of their unexplainable auction performance, because of the lack of options they will have to stick with Dagar which makes their bowling weak and does not threaten the opposition batters.
Mahipal Lomror is expected to be their impact player if they bowl first, and Vijay Kumar Vyshak will be their impact player if they bat first.
Here’s how the XI of Royal Challengers Bengaluru is looking ahead of their match against Lucknow Super Giants .
