Former Pakistan Team Director Mohammad Hafeez Yet to Receive Payment from PCB

Mohammad Hafeez was supposed to stick around for four years, but he was out the door in just two months.

The PCB has not yet settled the dues owed to former Pakistan team director Mohammad Hafeez. Cricket Pakistan reports that Hafeez, who took charge during Zaka Ashraf’s tenure, is still awaiting payment from the board.

Hafeez was appointed to the role during the concurrent tours of Australia and New Zealand, where the team suffered big losses.

Pakistan, led by new captain Shan Masood, faced a 0-3 defeat in Tests against Australia, and under Shaheen Afridi’s captaincy, they lost the T20I series 1-4 against New Zealand.

Despite having his contract extended for the next four years, Hafeez was sacked from his role after only two months. It happened after Mohsin Naqvi took over the charge of PCB chief.

Besides the outstanding payment, Mohammad Hafeez has not received his daily allowance for the tour to Australia and New Zealand from the Pakistan Cricket Board.
