IPL 2024: Jos Buttler Joins Elite List with Century in 100th IPL Appearance
Jos Buttler became the second batter to score a century in his 100th IPL game.
Jos Buttler, the dynamic English batter, blazed his way to a century off 58 balls in Jaipur on Saturday, igniting Rajasthan Royals’ chase of 184 runs and securing their fourth straight win in the IPL 2024 with five deliveries and six wickets in hand.
With just 35 runs in his bag from the first three matches of IPL 2024, Jos Buttler was definitely feeling the pressure. He didn’t start the new season on the right foot, echoing his lacklustre performance from the previous season.
However, the star batter regained his mojo, taking charge against RCB and steering Rajasthan Royals to a convincing win with his magnificent century knock, braced with nine boundaries and four sixes.
It was Buttler’s 100th IPL game, and he became just the second batter after KL Rahul to hit a century in their 100th IPL game.
