IPL 2024 – Match 20, MI vs DC: Kumar Kushagra to Replace Abhishek Porel? Delhi Capitals Probable Playing 11 vs Mumbai Indians

The 20th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will witness a fierce contest of Delhi Capitals who will be touring the iconic Wankhede Stadium to play the home side Mumbai Indians on 7th April, Sunday in a day game.

Prithvi Shaw after coming into the side has ensured Delhi scores quickly inside the powerplay and gives a blistering start to Delhi.

Accompanying him is David Warner who has been amongst the greatest batters of the league and still can turn games on his own.

Conditions at Wankhede should help him and Mitchell Marsh who love pace on the ball and bounce to aid their stroke-making.

Rishabh Pant is now fit and firing which makes them a side who have probably the best top 4 of the league who cannot be intimidated by any type of bowling.

Following them is Tristan Stubbs who is an exciting talent who has shown glimpses of his brilliance by registering a half-century in their last game.

From the number 6 slot, it all goes south for Delhi, Abhishek Porel has looked a complete misfit at 6, and they have Kumar Kushagra who can come in if Patel continues to fail.

Axar Patel will again be the sole spinner of the side and is expected to bat at 7 providing the batting cushion they desperately require. 

Kuldeep Yadav is certain to miss some matches as he has picked up a groin strain which has made  Delhi’s bowling shallow.

Following Patel, there will be 4 quicks, which include Anrich Nortje who will provide them the Hit the Deck skills in the middle and death overs.

Ishant Sharma and Khaleel Ahmed will take up the new cherry, if it swings they both will be very hard to counter.

Mukesh Kumar should be fine from his niggle which kept him out of the last game against Kolkata. If he is unfit, Sumit Kumar will take up his place.
