Chennai Super Kings returns to their home ground after facing back-to-back losses in their away games. CSK won their first two matches here and they will look to make a great comeback against Kolkata Knight Riders.
This match in Chennai will be KKR’s third consecutive away game. They won their previous two against RCB and DC and also won their home game against SRH. KKR has a chance of winning four consecutive matches this year.
Mustafizur Rahman to Stay Unavailable:
CSK’s leading wicket Mustafizur missed the previous match due the visa issues, he has flown back to Bangladesh and he might miss a few more games from here.
Pathirana who also missed the previous match due to an injury might not return against KKR, Pathirana also missed the season opener due to an injury.
Shardul Thakur Set to Take the Field:
Mukesh Choudhary who turned out to be expensive on his return and was given to bowl only one over, might get replaced by Shardul in the CSK 11.
Shardul has experience playing here and he has been a part of CSK for the seasons 2018,19,20 and 2021 CSK brought him back this year through the auction, he was part of KKR last year.
Daryl Mitchell’s Form a Concern for CSK:
Mitchell was bought for 14 crore in the auction but he hasn’t turned up the stage on fire and CSK will be concerned with his returns.
Daryl is known for his spin-playing abilities but his hitting form has been an issue for CSK.
