Kings XI Punjab registered their fourth loss in the IPL 2020 while playing against Chennai Super Kings. KL Rahul led side lost by 10 wickets in the match number 18 of Indian Premier League.

On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings has registered their second win and reached number 6 on the points table of IPL 2020.

Winning the toss, KXIP elected to bat first and posted 178 runs on the scoreboard. In reply, CSK’s veterans Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis maintained 181 run partnership up to the very last and helped CSK registering their second victory. Here it is worth noticing that Punjab’s side wasn’t able to take a single wicket in the second inning.

It is Hard Being on The Losing Side: KL Rahul

“It’s hard being on the losing side for so many games on the trot. We need to come back harder and better. There’s no rocket science where we are going wrong, it’s the execution”, said KL Rahul in the post-match conference.

Kings XI Punjab captain feels that it was important for them to take the wickets of Watson and du Plessis and they couldn’t do that, so it was a bit troublesome for them.

“When we started batting, the wicket did stop a bit and when the spinners came in there was some grip and turn. If we don’t get wickets of the class of Watson and du Plessis, we are in trouble.

They Are All Professional Players: KL Rahul

“It’s a bit hard to attack as a captain when they are going at 10 runs an over in the powerplay. They are all professional players, so we can expect them to come back better”, said KL Rahul.

“We need to keep training harder, practising and try to win the key moments in the game. Hopefully, we’ll be able to bounce back”, he added.

Kings XI Punjab will now face SunRisers Hyderabad on October 8 in the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai.
