IPL 2024 – Match 25, MI vs RCB: Will Jacks to Replace Cameron Green? Royal Challengers Bengaluru Probable Playing 11 vs Mumbai Indians

Cameroon Green failed to make any impact, scored 68 runs in 5 matches.

The 25th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will witness the clash of two very high-profile franchises Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru combating each other at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on April 11, Thursday

As the season has progressed, the shortcomings of Bengaluru’s management at the Auction table have been exposed.

Their bowling does not have enough wicket-taking ability nor enough defensive skills to contain the batters, while their batting at times gets way too conservative which does not help their cause either.

Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli will again open the batting, Kohli has been amongst runs but his strike has been on the lower side while Faf has totally been out of rhythm for the whole IPL.

Rajat Patidar and Glenn Maxwell Struggling in Their Roles

Rajat Patidar and Glenn Maxwell have had very poor seasons until now both of them have failed badly to get along with their roles assigned by their team management which is taking down the tweakers.

Cameron Green at his new batting position has totally looked out of depth, he always had his struggles while starting against spin bowling which got exposed because at his new position, there is always spin around the corner.

Bengaluru Eyes Will Jacks in Place of Cameron Green

Bengaluru may replace Cameron Green with Will Jacks in their upcoming match, but Bengaluru making pragmatic decisions is a match which is not made in heaven.

The trio of Dinesh Karthik, Anuj Rawat and Mahipal Lomror has done well in the limited opportunities they have got.

Lomror also breaks the pattern of being left-handed and has done well with the cameos he has played, whereas Karthik who is in his last season has performed decently until now.

Mayank Dagar has looked ineffective against batters in almost all games at all sorts of the deck, Bengaluru would pray he gets his form soon otherwise they don’t have any other spinner in their squad who could replace him, thanks to their auction performance.

Siraj and Topley Need Early Impact on Wankhede’s Red Soil

Mohammed Siraj and Reece Topley at Wankhede on the red soil surface may get some assistance and carry early on. They will have to be at their absolute best if Bengaluru has to compete with Mumbai at Wankhede.

Vijaykumar Vyshak may replace Yash Dayal, because while playing Dayal their attack becomes a bit one-dimensional because Dayal prefers bowling with the new ball while Vyshak gives them the option of bowling at the middle and the closing stage of an innings.

Here’s how the XI of Royal Challengers Bengaluru is looking ahead of their match against Mumbai Indians :

Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis(C), Rajat Patidar, Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green/Will Jacks, Anuj Rawat, Dinesh Karthik (WK), Mayank Dagar, Mohammed Siraj, Yash Dayal, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Reece Topley
