Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are set to face Delhi Capitals (DC) in Match 26 of IPL 2024 at the BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow, on 12th April, Friday.

LSG have won 3 out of their first 4 matches. In their previous match, they defeated GT by 33 runs. On the other hand, DC have won just a single match this season out of the 5 matches they’ve played so far. DC lost their last match to MI by 29 runs.

Mayank Yadav is Unavailable for the Match Against DC

Pace sensation Mayank Yadav won’t feature for LSG in their match against DC due to an injury. He might also miss the match against KKR on 14th April.

Mayank took 6 wickets in the 3 matches he played for LSG. In his 3rd match, he left the field after bowling just one over due to a side strain.

Yash Thakur Shines

Yash Thakur stepped up for LSG in the absence of Mohsin Khan and Mayank Yadav, who are out due to their injuries. Thakur took a five-wicket haul against GT, helping his team in defending 163 runs.

Alongside Yash, experienced Krunal Pandya has also performed exceptionally well for LSG. His economy rate is just 5.5 this season, having bowled 12 overs and picked up 3 wickets.

Deepak Hooda Likely to Replace Devdutt Padikkal

Devdutt is yet to register a double-digit score this year in IPL. He was traded from RR to LSG, but his performance in the first 4 matches for LSG has been poor.

LSG may consider bringing back Deepak Hooda at 3. Hooda played for LSG in their first match against RR, where he scored 26 runs off 13 balls in a run chase of 194 runs, batting at number 5.
